Information about the number of countries bordering Russian, in which Abkhazia and the so-called South Ossetia were presumably included, has been removed from FIFA web-page.

The official web-page of FIFA published information according to which Russia was bordered by 18 neighbouring countries.

Geographically, Russia has international borders with 16 sovereign states, including two with maritime boundaries (US, Japan).

Consequently, information on the FIFA web-page with great probability implied occupied Abkhazia and so-called South Ossetia. In addition, the published information did not include the list of Russia neighbouring countries.
