In the Republic of Tatarstan, state employees were banned from charging gadgets and computers in the workplace in order to save electricity. The electric kettle was also included in the “black list,” KP-Kazan reports.

The assignment signed by the head of the district executive committee, Aydar Khairutdinov, was published in social networks, apparently by one of the civil servants. It is addressed to the heads of municipal budgetary institutions.

In the document, Khirutdinov urges to monitor energy consumption and “establish a ban on the connection of chargers for personal mobile phones, smartphones and electric kettles (outside the buffet rooms) in the building of the institution.”

Officials confirmed the authenticity of the document to journalists and reported that a similar ban was already being applied in several regions of the country.
