Hungarian MP believes EU decision to be “shameful”

Lőrinc Nacsa, a member of parliament in the National Assembly of Hungary believes that the decision of the European Union not to grant Georgia the candidate status was “shameful.”

Following the meeting with the Permanent Delegation of the Georgian Parliament to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA) in Madrid, Nacsa said Hungary supports Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration.

“We talked about the summer decision of the European Union, which we think was shameful. Georgia should have received the candidate status. We are very glad that our Georgian friends are at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, where we can cooperate on security issues, our future and common interests. Go ahead, Georgia,” he said.

The European Union granted candidate status to Ukraine and Moldova, giving European Perspective to Georgia.
