Hungarian FM: Ruling party's sovereignty focus wins Georgia's elections

“Nothing new under the sun: In Georgia, the election was won not by Brussels or the liberal mainstream, but by the ruling party that prioritizes sovereignty, peace, and family—placing national interests first,” wrote Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó on social media.

Szijjártó congratulated Georgian Dream for winning the election and maintaining the trust of the Georgian people.

“Since the liberals have lost, the criticism has begun: claims that the election was unfair, that Georgia lacks democracy, and so on.

The most ironic part is that one of the main critics is the Lithuanian foreign minister, whose party was voted out by the Lithuanian electorate in yesterday’s election.

We congratulate the Georgian Dream Party on winning and retaining the trust of the Georgian people. We are ready to develop cooperation based on mutual respect and support the European integration process,” he stated.
