“Georgia is our most valuable partner,” said Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto following his meeting with Georgian colleague Ilia Darchiashvili, in Budapest.
“I believe that you and the new Prime Minister will ensure that the strategic partnership between the two countries continues. This is critical for us because Georgia is a very significant partner.
First, Georgia understands and supports the neighbourhood policy, which is built on peace and security. Second, Georgia is an important actor in Europe’s energy diversification.
Third, this country is strongly dedicated to the idea of EU integration,” Szijjarto stated.
The FMs also discussed the priorities of Hungary’s future 2024 EU Council presidency.
