The Ukrainian Court of Appeals postponed hearing the complaint of Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine into case of former Georgian President and ex-governor of Odessa region Mikheil Saakashvili till January 11. The court named insufficient number of witnesses as the reason for adjournment.
As the court explained, the trial on December 22 was postponed because they had not received case materials.
Saakashvili described the court process a ‘comedy’ ruled by Russian intelligence services. He also said that the final purpose was his extradition to Georgia.
Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine accuses Saakashvili of assistance to the organized crime group.
