Health state of injured paraglider not life-threatening

The health state of a paraglider injured on July 29 in Gudauri resort has stabilized and is not life-threatening. He is placed at the First University Clinic.

Lali Turteladze, Clinical Director said the patient had multiple injuries and brain concussion. He underwent surgery.

A border police helicopter on a rescue operation in Gudauri crashed on July 29, killing eight people. The rescue helicopter, which had been called to assist paragliders fell into the ravine, lost control, and crashed in a ravine. All eight people on board, the crew, rescuers, and first aid responders died in the crash. One paraglider was injured and a foreign tourist died.
