Health Minister says pharmaceutical sector has to review marginal prices for drugs until 15 February
Georgian Health Minister Zurab Azarashvili on Monday said the pharmaceutical sector has two weeks to review the marginal prices for medicines as the government is about to introduce reference price system in February.
The Minister noted that “if there is a reasoned claim, the special council will review it.”
According to the Minister, from 15 February, pharmaceutical companies will be required to sell drugs at a new [specified] price. Breaching the law will result in fines.
He went on to say that four nations were chosen to determine the reference pricing.
