Head of Strong Georgia election headquarters says coalition needs no people menaced or bribed
Davit Gamkrelidze, Head of the Strong Georgia coalition’s election headquarters remarked on quitting the alliance by two members in the Adjara Supreme Council and thanked the State Security Service of Georgia (SSG) for revealing those, who are subjected to bribing or menacing.
According to Davit Gamkrelidze, the coalition does not need such people. He said one week before the elections, the government and Security Service were active in xenophobic statements and attacks against the coalition leader Mamuka Khazaradze and others accusing them of having affiliation with the former government.
“Yesterday and today, we have seen two members in the Adjara Supreme Council from our coalition quitting the alliance. I want to thank the State Security Service for assisting us in revealing those, who are subjected to bribing or menacing.
We don’t need such people in the coalition because we are preparing for coming into power, for rescuing the country from the Russian swamp and returning it to the European space,” he said urging the SSG to bribe such people to have the alliance “cleaned” before October 26.
Merab Kuridze, number 22 on the electoral list for Adjara Supreme Council from the Strong Georgia coalition, has quit the alliance.
