Guram Tushishvili secures Gold at Tbilisi Grand Slam

Guram Tushishvili secured the gold medal at the Tbilisi Grand Slam. In the heavyweight final, the Georgian world champion, defeated Georgian judoka Ushangi Kokauri, representing Azerbaijan, with a stunning ippon, securing the fourth gold medal for the Georgian national team at the tournament.

Earlier, Saba Inaneishvili (+100 kg) had won a bronze medal at the competition. With these victories, the Georgian national team has amassed four gold medals and one bronze medal at the Tbilisi Grand Slam.

The tournament’s gold medalists include Eter Liparteliani (57 kg), Lasha Shavdatuashvili (73 kg), Guram Tushishvili (+100 kg), and Lasha Bekauri (90 kg). As a result, our team secured the top spot in the overall team competition.
