Leaders of oppositional parties, which united under the slogan “Everybody against one”, are holding consultations at Labor Party Office to discuss future action plans.

Grigol Vashadze, former presidential candidate of the opposition said that discussions were held about organizational issues for a large-scale protest to be held in front of the parliament building on November 17.

Vashadze said that the demands remained unchanged: resignation of the government, staffing of new Central Election Commission (CEC) by members of non-governmental organizations and public, snap elections with proportional system and the release of political prisoners.

According to Vashadze, the government will not agree on election model to that of Germany, Tanzania or Uganda because as he said “the government does not need fair, transparent and western-standard elections because the ruling team officials are clinging upon their seats with teeth.”

The protest in front of the parliament continues for already the third day after the parliament’s turning down of constitutional changes on November 14 prepared by the parliamentary majority regarding transformation onto the proportional system of elections for 2020 parliamentary polls in Georgia.
