GPB's chief lawyer elected as member of EBU's Legal and Policy Committee
The chief lawyer of the Georgian Public Broadcaster’s Legal Service, Elene Mikhailova, has been elected as a member of the new Legal and Policy Committee of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) for the third term.
Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, hosted the elections as part of the EBU’s 25th Legal and Policy Assembly.
Committee elections are held every two years and are very competitive.
Since 2005, Georgian Public Broadcaster has been an active member of the EBU, serving on several committees.
The Legal and Policy Assembly brings together senior legal and policy experts from across the EBU membership. It is a forum for updating members on the latest developments impacting public service media in Europe and beyond, as well as an opportunity for sharing experiences and networking.
