The Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) hosts the 18th News Assembly of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) on November 22-23.
Chairperson of the EBU News Committee, EBU Director General and GPB Director General opened the Assembly at the Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel in Tbilisi.
The annual conference will bring together up to 100 news directors, editors-in-chief, and foreign editors from 47 countries of the EBU’s member public broadcasters.
“Key issues are discussed, including regional challenges, and the role of the public broadcaster in the formation of a democratic country. Therefore, we are fully involved, and most importantly, everyone celebrates the transformation of the Georgian Public Broadcasting which is apparent,” said Tinatin Berdzenishvili, GPB Director General.
