GPB co-financed film The Resting Samurai awarded at Veracruz World Film Festival

The Resting Samurai, a movie co-financed by the GPB, won a prize at the Veracruz World Film Festival (Festival Mundial de Cine de Veracruz) in Mexico.
Production designer Temur Khmaladze and costume designer Ana Kalatozishvili received the festival’s Best Art Direction award, while the jury commended it for having a high artistic value.
The Resting Samurai was filmed with the support of the First Channel and the National Film Center of Georgia. The GPB First Channel is the largest producer of Georgian audiovisual products on the market and contributes significantly each year to the country’s creative industry and economy.
