Gov't declares October 25 a holiday after CEC request

The Georgian government declared October 25 a holiday on Monday in response to a request by the Central Election Commission (CEC).

As the CEC explained, voting stations at public schools and kindergartens may be difficult to set up throughout the working day on Friday.

It further said that out of 3,031 election precincts, 483 are in kindergartens, 1,675 are in public schools, and 873 are in other facilities.
