Gov't announces support funds for unpaid employees or citizens facing dismissal, unpaid leave

Citizens who maintain the status of employee but are not paid for the time being, or those who took unpaid leave or dismissed from a job, will be paid GEL 200 by the government for the next six months, Deputy Health Minister Tamila Barkalaia announced today.

As Deputy Minister noted, each citizen will receive a total of GEL 1200.

“Officially hired people do not need to provide any additional documents or registration. Their employer will do so, including the information for those whose job terminated,” Tamila Barkalaia said.
