Governmental Administration releases information about Abashidze-Karasin meeting
The Governmental Administration of Georgia released the information about the recent meeting held between Zurab Abashidze, Special Representative of Georgian Prime Minister for Relations with Russia and Gregory Karasin, Deputy Russian Foreign Minister in Prague.
Based on the information, the sides discussed trade-economic, transport and humanitarian issues. The agreement of 2011 signed between Georgia and Russia about customs administering and trade monitoring mechanisms were discussed during the meeting.
Abashidze also focused on the violation of human rights of locals residing across the occupied line and abridgment of Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty principles. The date of the next meeting to be held between Abashidze and Karasin is not yet finalized.
