Georgian Prime Minister, Giorgi Gakharia, believes it is urgent to start the state enterprises reform amid the global economic crisis.
Giorgi Gakharia stated at the governmental meeting, Finance Minister-headed working group would develop a detailed plan to reform the state-owned companies’ management.
“We aim to establish the best management practices in the state-owned enterprises. Initially, we plan to reform the Georgian State Electricity System. Today, we will discuss the issue of staffing the Supervisory Board. It needs the highest standards and requirements”, PM said.
Gakharia emphasized the working group would elaborate a detailed plan to bring the state-owned enterprises’ management closer to the highest standards.
