The Georgian Orthodox Church (GOC) marks Holy Annunciation Day.
Festive church services will be held at all acting churches across the country.
The holiday depicts the primary annunciation by Archangel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary about the birth of Jesus Christ.
According to the Christian faith, while the Virgin Mary was reading the Bible, Archangel Gabriel appeared and told her she would soon give birth to a son, who would be named Jesus.
