Givi Mikanadze, head of the permanent delegation of the Parliament of Georgia to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and chairman of the Committee on Education, Science, and Youth Affairs, met with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Alain Berse, in Strasbourg.
Mikanadze congratulated Berse on his election as Secretary General and wished him success in his future endeavours. The meeting was cordial, during which both parties acknowledged the significant role of Georgia within the Council of Europe.
Mikanadze expressed the Georgian side’s readiness to actively continue its cooperation with the Council of Europe, a gesture that the Secretary-General received positively.
Tamar Taliashvili, head of the permanent representation of Georgia to the Council of Europe, also attended the meeting.
