The decision made by the Interior Minister Giorgi Gakharia was optimal – Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili stated about it after the Security Council session today.

According to him, the ruling team worked well-coordinated.

“The ruling team worked well-coordinated. The executive government, parliament and the Tbilisi municipality were involved in the process. The decision taken yesterday by the Interior Minister Giorgi Gakharia was an optimal solution to the situation in which we were.

Kakha Kaladze was actively involved in all these two days, the Speaker of the Parliament as well and myself. As a result, we have avoided confrontation and took correct decisions”, – Giorgi Kvirikashvili said.

Meeting between Minister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Gakharia and the representatives of White Noise Movement has been held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs today.

The decision was made at the meeting to set up 2 groups, one of which will work on the legislative reform of drug policy and the other one will study the legality of the May 12 developments.

According to organizers of the rally, they have started negotiations and suspended protest for a week.
