Giorgi Kvirikashvili: Non-profit legal entity 'Partnership for Affordable Health' to be founded
Under the decision of the Government of Georgia, the non-profit legal entity – “Partnership for Affordable Health” will be founded, which will increase the access to medical services and medicines for the population.
As the Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Kvirikashvili stated at today’s government session, this initiative will significantly simplify the problem of purchasing medicines for people having chronic diseases.
“In 2013, when the universal health program was launched in Georgia, the population received considerable relief, but the problem linked with purchasing medicines for chronic diseases still remained. It is very important that this format, at the first stage, will allow pensioners to buy those medications that they need daily at lower cost, ” – the Prime Minister said.
