Giorgi Gakharia says next stage of reforms is expected in Patrol Police

Giorgi Gakharia, Minister of Internal Affairs said during the expanded sitting of 5 parliamentary committees in the parliament that Patrol Police needed to see the next stage of reforms.

“It’s time to conduct a following stage of reforming Patrol Police. Several years ago the reforms were conducted successfully, but the main component of it applied to the so-called front part. Unfortunately, the processes and procedures that need to be in the system and institution need to be refined,” he claimed adding the components such as digitalization does not work at all.

“Patrol Police should be oriented on the service and the police services will be further expanded,” Gakharia said.
