Giorgi Gakharia – I call on everybody to be careful about Davit Gareja issue

I am sure within the framework of demarcation, we will reach an agreement with our strategic partner and friend state that will reflect the interests of our church and cultural heritage – Giorgi Gakharia, Secretary of National Security Council said after completion of the sitting when talking to journalists who became with the issue of David Gareja, a rock-hewn Georgian Orthodox monastery complex located in the Kakheti region of Eastern Georgia.

According to Gakharia, Davit Gareja was a sensitive issue. “I call on everybody, who speculates with the issue and tries to generate ethnic hatred, to be careful,” Gakharia said.
