Georgian PM: Covid-related restrictions needed to return a full life
Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia, explained that the goal of the two-month pandemic-related restrictions in the country is to allow the Georgian citizens to return to a full life in February. PM made this statement at today’s government session.
The head of the government noted the citizens must follow the COVID-restrictions imposed throughout the country.
“We have launched a two-month plan that should stabilize the epidemic situation in the country. We started an intensive Covid testing program that envisages doing 20 thousand tests daily. It is a coextending process that should facilitate the rapid detection of infection during the period of restrictions,” – Giorgi Gakharia said.
Prime Minister also informed that a special group would work on the vaccination plan. “This group should ensure the timely delivery of the vaccine, as well as technically prepare for the timely start of the vaccination process,” – Gakharia added.
