Giorgi Gakharia: As soon as world defeats pandemic, it will be forgotten that Georgia copes well with COVID risks, therefore we should run economy efficiently
We must prepare for the worst scenario and must understand that our competitive advantage as a tourist country should be strengthened, – the Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia said when visiting Kakheti region.
As Giorgi Gakharia noted, the country will have to live with coronavirus for an indefinite period of time and it should be more prepared for this.
“We can declare clean zones from Coronavirus by observing the rules. This will not be difficult, despite the fact that many rules must be followed. We have to agree on something simple. It is not enough that Georgia is coping well and managing the risks of COVID-19. Trust me, as soon as the world defeats pandemic, it will be forgotten that Georgia copes well with COVID risks, therefore, the most important thing is to run the economy efficiently. The world will be different, there will be a completely different global competition. This competition will be much stronger and we need to be more prepared for it. We must prepare for the worst scenario and must understand that our competitive advantage as a tourist country should be strengthened,”- Giorgi Gakharia said.
