Giorgi Chakvetadze is the favorite of Georgian media

Giorgi Chakvetadze, a Georgian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Belgian club Gent, has become the winner of Sarbieli traditional poll. The results were announced late last night since the winner was not in Georgia.

The 79 journalists participated in the poll. Chakvetadze won 214 points. Members of the Georgian national football team Jaba Kankava and Saba Kvirkvelia also secured places in the top-3.
