Giga Ugulava, a candidate for “Bakradze, Ugulava – European Georgia”, pledged that the Georgian Dream candidate, who is winning the elections, would not be allowed to be a formal majoritarian MP.

“It seems that Chichinadze will be deputy from Vani and Khoni majoritarian district. He will have to care for pensioners and socially vulnerable people of Vani and Khoni district. We do not allow him to be a formal majoritarian MP, the kind of majoritarians other districts have” – Ugulava said.

He thanked his supporters for their trust and noted that he has more supporters in the villages.

“First of all, I would like to thank all residents of Vani and Khoni districts for taking part in the elections. I would like to express my gratitude to those who supported me, I will do my best to justify their trust”, – Ugulava said.

“We won in the villages and unfortunately, the Georgian Dream mobilized administrative resource is the cities”, – he added.

“Georgian Dream” candidate Givi Chichinadze leads with 57.86% (15 690 votes) and “European Georgia” candidate Gigi Ugulava has 38.38% (10 404), –  Central Election Commission (CEC) published the preliminary results of Vani and Khoni MP by-elections.
