Giga Bukia: Draft on drug policy should be withdrawn from the parliament

Giga Bukia, the chairman of the faction “Conservatives” believes that the legislative package prepared for the liberalization of drug policy should be withdrawn from the parliament.
Bukia states that he shares the position of the Patriarchate and believes that the bill is not prepared sufficiently.
“Regarding the initiative, we had many remarks that were raised by certain members of the majority. This initiative may increase the number of drug users. We were against initiating the bill in such form”, – MP said.
Bukia says that if the discussion on changes continues, bill is likely not to become law.
