GeoStat: Georgia’s Foreign Trade grows by 12.8% in January-June

The National Statistics Office of Georgia (GeoStat), on Monday said the country’s foreign trade in goods (excluding non-declared trade) reached USD 11.93 billion in the first half of 2025, marking a 12.8% increase compared to the same period of the previous year.

Of this total, exports amounted to USD 3.23 billion, reflecting a 13.7% increase, while imports stood at USD 8.7 billion, up 12.4% year-on-year.

Georgia’s negative trade balance for January–June 2025 amounted to USD 5.46 billion, accounting for 45.8% of the total foreign trade turnover.

Meanwhile, according to GeoStat, 69.3% of Georgia’s total trade was conducted with its top ten trading partners. The largest trade partners were Turkey (USD 1.46 billion), the United States (USD 1.32 billion), and Russia (USD 1.28 billion).
