GeoStat: External Merchandise Trade in January-September up by 3.7 percent

External Merchandise Trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 16 777.7 million in January-September 2024, 3.7 percent higher year-on-year, the National Statistics Service (GeoStat) reported.

The exports equaled 4 786.7 million (4.1 percent higher), while the imports stood at USD 11 991.0 million (3.6 percent higher). The negative trade balance was USD 7 204.3 million in January-September 2024 and its share in external trade turnover constituted 42.9 percent.

In January-September 2024 the share of the top ten trading partners by exports in the total exports of Georgia amounted to 82.1 percent. The top partners were Kyrgyzstan (USD 908.0 million), Kazakhstan (USD 634.9 million) and Azerbaijan (USD 544.3 million).
