GeoStat: External Merchandise Trade down by 1.8 percent 

In January-June 2024 the external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 10 319.4 million, 1.8 percent lower year-on-year, the National Statistics Service (GeoStat) reported.

The exports equaled 2 847.6 million (6.7 percent lower), while the imports stood at USD 7 471.8 million (0.2 percent higher).

The negative trade balance was USD 4 624.2 million in January-June 2024 and its share in external trade turnover constituted 44.8 percent.

In January-June 2024 the share of the top ten trading partners by exports in the total exports of Georgia amounted to 80.5 percent.

The top partners were Kyrgyzstan (USD 453.4 million), Kazakhstan (USD 354.3 million) and Russia (USD 340.1 million).
