According to the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) methodology, the Georgian National Statistics Service (GeoStat) has calculated the inflation rate at 0.1% for June 2023. This figure is 0.5% lower than the inflation rate calculated using the national methodology.
The percentage changes compared to the corresponding period in 2022, as per the EU HICP methodology, are as follows:
Food and non-alcoholic beverages: -1.2%;
Alcoholic beverages and tobacco: -7.4%;
Clothing and shoes: 0.8%;
Housing, water, electricity, gas, and other types of heating: -3.6%;
Furniture, household items and decorations, home care, and repair: -6.6%;
Healthcare: -7.2%;
Transport: -12.1%;
Communication: -2.7%;
Leisure, entertainment, and culture: 1.0%;
Education: 7.0%;
Hotels, cafes, and restaurants: 7.2%;
Various goods and services: 15.9%.
