The Georgia national under-21 football team, led by Ramaz Svanadze, beat the Portuguese team 2:0 in the opening match of the UEFA 2023 Under 21 European Championship.
Dinamo Arena in the Georgian capital Tbilisi hosted the game, which was aired by GPB First Channel.
Tbilisi, the western city of Kutaisi, and the Black Sea city of Batumi are hosting games of the tournament as the country co-hosts the competition with Romania through July 8.
