Georgia’s PM sums up results of 2019

‘2019 was a highly dynamic year for Georgia in terms of challenges and achievements,’ Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said at the last Government Meeting of 2019, while summarising the achievements the government made this year.

Georgia’s PM says, occupation, unfortunately, remains as the most important challenge in Georgia.

’20 per cent of Georgia’s territories remain occupied, and this is an extremely important limitation. It is essential to remember what obstacles our citizens face daily on both sides of the occupation line.

Thankfully, Georgian doctor has released from custody, however, our citizens living at the occupation line face this kind of obstacles on a daily bases.

Unfortunately, for the residents of Akhalgori, the freedom of the movement is restricted. This is immensely tough situation,’ Gakharia stressed.

As the head of the government added, the response of the government and society to those challenges is that the majority of Georgian citizens support the country’s aspiration to Euro-Atlantic integration.
