Georgia's Giga Ochkhikidze wins gold in Men's shot put F53 at Paralympics Games Paris 2024
Giga Ochkhikidze, a Georgian paralympic athlete, won a gold medal in Men’s shot put F53 at the Paralympics Games Paris 2024.
Ochkhikidze also set a world record by putting the shot 9.66 meters.
The Georgian Paralympic team now has two medals. Earlier, Ana Japaridze won the bronze in taekwondo.
Giga Ochkhikidze became the second Paralympic athlete in Georgian history with a gold medal.
Zviad Gogotchuri was the first paralympic gold medalist in men’s under 90 kg judo at the Rio Paralympic Games.
