Georgia’s Finance Minister, Lasha Khutsishvili, recently met with his Chinese counterpart, Lan Fo’an, during the annual meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) to discuss bilateral cooperation.
According to the Ministry of Finance, Khutsishvili expressed appreciation for China’s financial and technical support to Georgia. The two ministers emphasized the importance of enhancing Georgia’s transit capabilities through ongoing infrastructure projects.
Both sides expressed optimism about the prospect of continued active cooperation between their countries.
The city of Samarkand in Uzbekistan will host the 2024 AIIB annual meeting.
