Georgia's ex-President to address nation on Independence Referendum Day, Japaridze says
Georgia’s former president Salome Zourabichvili plans to address the nation tomorrow on the anniversary of the country’s independence referendum, according to Badri Japaridze, one of the leaders of the “Strong Georgia” movement.
Speaking after a meeting with the former president, Japaridze said: “Tomorrow is inherently an important day as it marks the anniversary of the referendum on the country’s independence. It will also be a significant day of protest.”
Japaridze indicated that Zourabichvili will discuss “current processes” taking place in the country during her address.
