Georgia's ESC contender says she dreamed of Georgia in finals, feels proud of Georgia
“I dreamed that Georgia would get to the final after seven years. I am happy!” Georgia contender at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest, Nutsa Buzaladze, said at the press conference after the semi-finals show.
“Thank you very much to everyone for believing in me. I could feel the energy on stage. Thank you for making me believe that dreams really do come true. I dreamed that Georgia would get to the finals after seven years. I am happy. I am proud of my country, Georgia. I am proud to be a Georgian. I wanted to show the fire that Georgians have. I felt the energy from my country on stage. I love my country. Many people worked on this performance, and thank you all for doing so. When you work like that, it always pays off. This was my dream”, said Nutsa Buzaladze at the press conference.
When asked about participation in American Idol and a duet with Kylie Minogue, Nutsa Buzaladze noted that American Idol prepared her for Eurovision.
“I talk a lot about dreams. It was the American Idol finale. American Idol is very different from Eurovision. American Idol is for Americans, and the Eurovision Song Contest is international. American Idol prepared me to represent my country at Eurovision. I put a lot of work into both projects. I was proud to sing with Kylie Minogue. It was also a dream come true when you were singing her songs in front of the mirror as a child, and then suddenly you had to stand on stage with her. One must believe that dreams do come true, and my life is proof of that,” said Nutsa Buzaladze.
Georgia ESC contender also answered a question from Armenia, whose representative also made it to the finals.
“I was very anxious. A long-standing friendship connects us. You deserve to be in the finals. It was amazing”, added Nutsa Buzaladze.
The representative of Georgia, Nutsa Buzaladze, advanced to the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest finals. The second semi-final of Eurovision 2024 was held today.
