Georgia's current needs and security challenges discussed in Vilnius, Georgian FM says
Speaking about the Georgian delegation’s visit to the NATO summit in Vilnius, Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ilia Darchiashvili highlighted the discussions held with the partners regarding Georgia’s current needs and security challenges.
The FM said the Georgian delegation’s visit to Vilnius within the NATO summit continues.
“We engaged in bilateral meetings with our partners. These bilateral discussions commenced with a remarkable new platform proposed by the Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs, aimed at fostering collaboration between the Nordic countries and Georgia. We talked about how these countries can be strengthened, and how the Nordic countries can help Georgia even more.
Additionally, we discussed Georgia’s current needs and security challenges. I think this platform will inject fresh impetus into the relationships.
Furthermore, we had the opportunity to meet with the Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom and hold an introductory meeting with the newly appointed ministers of Finland and Estonia.
These discussions covered a wide range of topics. The main emphasis was on foreign policy priorities, our country’s challenges, and the reform agenda undertaken by our government to pave the way for European and Euro-Atlantic integration,” said Darchiashvili.
