Georgia's annual inflation rate hits 12.8 %

In June 2022, the Consumer Price Index surged by 0.2 % compared to the previous month, while the annual inflation rate reached 12.8 %, Georgia’s National Statistics Office has said.
As to the annual core inflation, the prices increased by 5.8 %, while the annual core inflation without tobacco amounted to 6.6 %, it noted.
The following table shows percentage changes in prices for the commodity groups of the consumer basket as well as the relevant contributions to the overall monthly inflation rate.
