Georgian Greco-Roman wrestler Shmagi Bolkvadze (72kg) won a gold medal and became the World champion at the 2021 Wrestling UWW European Championships in Warsaw on Sunday.
Shmagi Bolkvadze beat his rival Armenian wrestler Malkhas Amoyan 4:1 in the final.
Another Georgian wrestler Aivengo Rikadze (82 kg) defeated Armenian Karapet Chalyan 3:2 and won a Bronze medal.
In total, Georgia’s wrestling team won 1 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals.
