Georgian President to Ukrainians: You are fighting for your freedom, as well as for our freedom
“We, Georgians, support you, we stand with you in the fight against Russian aggression, we know what it means, and we know how bravely you have resisted during this first month,” President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili said in her video address to the Ukrainian people.
According to Zourabichvili, Ukrainians are fighting for their freedom, as well as for the freedom of Georgia.
“On behalf of the Georgian people, the Georgian state, I would like to address my friends, the citizens of Ukraine, those who are fighting and resisting in cities – Mariupol, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odessa. I would like to address the Ukrainian women who have shown their courage in this struggle, in their support. I would like to address the Ukrainian refugees who are now in neighboring countries and some of them have also arrived in Georgia.
I want to tell you that we, Georgians, support you, we are with you in the fight against Russian aggression, we know what it means, and we know, how bravely you have resisted during this first month, in these 29 days and these are 29 victories, which you have already won by resisting Russia, by showing that what everyone thought to be a superpower is not strong enough to defeat Ukraine.
I wish you success, victory, because we, as your friends, know that you are the ones who fight for freedom, for your independence, and also for our freedom, for our independence, on our common path. Thank you, Ukraine, glory to Ukraine!” President said.
