“I hope that the partnership between Georgia and Poland will further strengthen in the future”, the President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili stated at a joint press conference with her Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda on Thursday.

As Zourabichvili noted,  Poland will become the OSCE chair country next year and is ready to provide all possible assistance to Georgia to bring the occupation issue to the forefront of the OSCE political agenda.

“We have done a lot in terms of bilateral relations between Georgia and Poland, but it is necessary to deepen our economic ties after this pandemic. Tourism should become one of the main spheres. We have removed virtually all the regulations that apply to our Polish friends and tourists for the summer season. Georgia is open to all vaccinated people. It is our open-door policy towards Europe and in particular, Poland.

I heard a promise from the Polish President about providing Georgia with vaccines. Poland is trying to supply Georgia with the quantity that was negotiated previously. It will be a gesture of solidarity for our people.

Poland will become the OSCE chair country next year. It is ready to provide all possible assistance to bring the issue of occupation to the forefront of OSCE political agenda and statements,” Zourabichvili said.
