Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili met the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Envoy on Missing Persons in the Caucasus, Daniel Mac Sweeney, the presidential administration reported.
The meeting focused on the need to continue searches for missing persons and the importance of the ICRC’s involvement in this process in Georgia. Sides discussed the importance of having a long-term, sustainable and effective action strategy for tracing persons gone missing during hostilities.
The Head of Delegation of the ICRC to Georgia Séverine Chappaz also attended the meeting.
