Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili hosted members of the European Parliament election observation mission, being on a working visit in the country.
According to the presidential administration, the sides discuss the pre-election environment-related processes and President’s role in tackling the political polarization.
President Zourabichvili remarked that due to a high degree of polarization, other acute issues such as occupation, pandemic and security in the Black Sea region remain unattended.
Salome Zourabichvili stressed that Georgia should continue the Euro-Atlantic integration course after the elections. She also introduced the MEPs with detailed information about the humanitarian situation across the occupied Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions.
