Georgian President congratulates Ukrainian people on Independence Day
Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili congratulated the Ukrainian people on Independence Day.
In her video address, Salome Zourabichvili said that she wished Ukraine de-occupation, peace, sovereignty and restoration of territorial integrity.
“My dear Ukrainian friends, with all my heart and in the name of the Georgian people, I want to wish you a happy Independence Day, one that will see you progressing on your main objective, which is also our common objective, which is to free your country from any foreign occupation, to recover peace and to have full sovereignty and territorial integrity for your country, that is my wish for your country and the wish for my country and the wish for the European future for both countries,” she said.
Ukraine celebrates Independence Day on August 24 in commemoration of the Declaration of Independence in 1991.
