Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili welcomed the signing of the EU-South Caucasus Green Energy Partnership deal calling it “a major historical step.”
“I welcome the signature today of the green energy cable that will link the Caucasus to the European Union as a major historical step. It means that the Black Sea is now a bridge connecting both sides and it is becoming a European sea,” President tweeted.
Georgia, Azerbaijan, Romania, and Hungary signed the Black Sea submarine electricity cable project in Bucharest, Romania, on Saturday.
