Georgian PM: Today's decision reward for Bidzina Ivanishvili for saving country

“We are only interested in our country’s national interests. We have been acting in this manner for three years, and it is because of this that Georgia is not in the same scenario as Ukraine today,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told media.

According to Irakli Kobakhidze, “Ukraine’s government has changed twice from the outside.”

“The forces who did this did not accept responsibility for Ukraine’s fate; in fact, during these years, the last three years, and even more so, the ten years following 2013, they doomed Ukraine to ruin. This is an actual fact. Georgia rescued itself. Today’s decision, which was announced, is a reward for Bidzina Ivanishvili and for Georgia for saving this country,” the PM stated.

The Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has imposed financial sanctions on Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder and honorary chairman of the Georgian Dream ruling party.
