Georgian PM – Tbilisi Silk Road Forum is important possibility for enhancement of ties between Asia and Europe
I am glad that Georgia continues hosting of an important event – Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said in a welcoming speech delivered during the opening of Tbilisi Silk Road Forum.
PM claimed that the initiative has to do with the creation of new trade-transport corridors and improvement of already existing ones that are based on the principles of mutual cooperation and benefit between the countries, and aims at contributing to the development of trade-economic relations.
“The forum is an effective platform for Silk Road initiative countries, international organizations and representatives of the private sector to share experience about economic challenges in the region and discuss the means for their resolution,” Gakharia said.
Georgia’s capital is hosting Tbilisi Silk Road Forum on October 22-23 under the patronage of Georgian Prime Minister. Representatives of more than 2 000 delegates from 60 countries including more than 30 official delegations are attending the Tbilisi Silk Road forum this year.
